We were interested to know if the Dyson Airwrap was as revolutionary as it seemed when it went viral on TikTok. And there is nothing to exaggerate; one could theoretically save hundreds if I could style my hair.

Most people get blowouts every few months, occasionally do hair for work, and attend many events. Fortunately, we had a chance to evaluate the Dyson Airwrap Complete.

What Is It? The Dyson Airwrap:

Depending on the attachments (and methods) you employ, the Dyson Airwrap Complete is a multi-styling at-home hair tool that can produce a range of styles. The Airwrap Complete set is offered in three different configurations: the extended version, with attachments made to style hair up to chest length; the Standard version, which is great for people with hair shorter than chest length; and the Coily/Curly version, with slightly different attachments (more on this below) made to style coily or curly hair types.

What Does the Dyson Airwrap Complete Include?

Six attachments are included with the Airwrap Complete:

1.       A Coanda smoothing dryer can blow dry hair or smooth flyaways, depending on your selected setting.

2.       A barrel measuring 1.2 inches or 1.6 inches that uses airflow to create curls;

3.       A firm smoothing brush that resembles a traditional paddle brush;

4.       A soft smoothing brush and a round volumizing brush.

5.       The 1.2-inch and 1.6-inch curling barrel attachments vary between the long and standard models.

You may use the Airwrap to rough, dry hair, produce curls or waves, style fringe, smooth flyaways, blow hair straight, style a bouncy blowout, and more, depending on the mix of attachments you use on any given day.

What Is the Dyson Airwrap`s Mechanism?

It seems logical that Dyson, renowned for its vacuum industry inventions, used a comparable air pressure technology to introduce its range of blow-dryers and, subsequently, multifunctional hair stylers. The base tool of the Dyson Airwrap Complete houses the Dyson V9 motor, which powers each attachment. The device differs from a typical blow dryer or styling iron since each extension uses airflow to style hair. For instance, even using a barrel to curl your hair, you`ll still hear the engine pumping air.

The function of Complete attachments for the Dyson Airwrap:

Here is a brief explanation of how each extension functions:

·         The Coanda smoothing drier has two settings: one where the air is exceptionally focused, and the tool may be skated over hair to smooth and shape flyaways; the other option operates like a conventional blow-dryer.

·         There is no need to spin the tool or use a second hand to manually wrap your hair around the barrel with the 1.2-inch and 1.6-inch barrels since airflow blows, wraps, and clings hair around the barrel for a simplified curling experience. The direction of the curl (either towards or away from your face) may be toggled on and off for each barrel attachment.

·         Use the firm and soft smoothing brushes to brush through and dry the hair simultaneously for straighter hair.

·         The blowout generally requires holding a blow-dryer in one hand and a round volumizing brush in the other, which adds extra labor. This attachment makes styling and drying your hair more accessible, just like the Revlon One-Step Volumizer (or any other comparable products now available).

The Updates to the Attachments Are a Significant Improvement Over Previous Models

In addition to the blow-dryer, brush, and round brush attachments, the earlier Airwrap model had four curling barrels: two 1.2-inch barrels, and two 1.6-inch barrels (same as the 1.2-inch). You would need to buy longer hair-friendly barrels separately if you wanted them. With this design, you may purchase a tool pre-equipped with attachments for longer hair.

Furthermore, if you wanted to curl your hair in a different direction while curling it with the prior model, you had to remove and switch out the attachments. Due to this, my hair-styling procedure added a lot of clutter, time, and manual gymnastics. You only need to gently toggle the top barrel of the Airwrap Complete to alter the curl direction; there is only one barrel for each curl size. Although the improvements are not, The addition of a flyaway smoother setting to the rough, dry attachment is the only other significant modification.
